Thank you for visiting me here on Imagekind.

I am a freelance photographer.  My work has been published in print and in pixels for nearly 25 years.  I also make regular submissions to The Library of Congress as well as archives and libraries throughout the Northeast (USA).

While many photographers in this day and age have switched to using a digital camera, I use cameras that record what they see on film.  I use a variety of cameras from small to large, from vintage to cutting edge.  One of my current favorite cameras is a box camera from the 1800s.

These images originated on FILM or PAPER.  The film or paper is hand-processed in a darkroom and then scanned into Photoshop.  Color photographs were all processed at a Pro-Lab, black and white I process myself using a variety of developers I mix myself.  I currently use a developer made of COFFEE and other ingredients. for both film and paper.  I do not manipulate the digital file more than matching what is seen on the film or paper.  The scan represents what can be done in my darkroom, nothing more, nothing less.  Some large print size may show imperfections that are only in film and paper prints.   Grain, texture, and softness are part of what I do.  Images sometimes require that you step back to view them.

Hand made prints (black and white). LightJet (Digital C Prints) as well as commercially made or hand made books are available.

THANK YOU
